Ibiza is the third largest island of the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea 79 km off the coast of the city of Valencia in Spain. It is an autonomous community of Spain.
Major cities: Ibiza Town , Sant Antoni de Portmany, Santa Eularia des Riu
Moderate climate for humans. Not too hot in summer ( below 30 °C ). Water temperatures range from 8 °C to 26 °C.

The Archaeology Museum : Located at the top of the old part of Ibiza city. There are exhibits dating from the Phoenician-Punic, Roman, Arab and Medieval periods.

Ibiza Archaeological Museum contains artefacts from prehistoric sites on the Balearic Islands, 5th - 7th centuries BC

tower Towers & fortress :
A fortress-church in Santa Eulalia del Rio 14 km to the capital.
Faro de Botafoc: built in 1861 with 16 meters high tower.

Monumento al General Vara de Rey:unveiled by King Alfonso XIII in 1904 created by the sculptor Eduard B. Alentorn the architect August Font
Monumento a los Corsarios: Monument created by the architect, August Font. It is located on Ibiza's harbor, facing the port.

church Churches :

Old town cathedral with its 10th century Gothic tower and 18th century Baroque nave.
Cathedral of Nuestra Senora : Remaining parts ,the tower and the sacristy doorway, of the Cathedral of Nuestra Senorade las Nieves (Our Lady of the Snows), built in the 13th and 14th centuries:

Catedral de Santa Maria de Ibiza: Built in 1235 at the top of the old part of Ibiza. It is partially built in Gothic style and Baroque design

Northern Beaches: Cala Benirras and Port de San Miguel.
Southern Beaches: Talamanca, Playa d'en Bossa, Figueretes, Playa de las Salinas ( 10-minute drive from Ibiza Town ) and Cala Jondal.
Eastern Beaches: Cala Llonga.
Western Beaches: Cala Salada, Cala Conta, Cala Tarida, Cala Gracio, Cala Vedella, Cala d'hort, Cala Bassa and Atlantis.

Legendary port in Ibiza Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site: The dense prairies of oceanic Posidonia (seagrass) are an important endemic species found only in the Mediterranean basin.
The archaeological sites at Sa Caleta (settlement) and Puig des Molins (necropolis) have an important economic role in the Mediterranean in protohistory .
The fortified Upper Town (Alta Vila) is an example of Renaissance military architecture.
